We Have Always Been Here by Samra Habib

challenging informative slow-paced

4.0

I bought this book at the 2020 Queer Thinking event for Mardi Gras. In the cover was a ticket for an event I went to in February 2020 in Sydney, and it was like a momento of the last major event I went to before covid came to Australia the following month. I used the ticket as a bookmark.

My recollections of this book are a bit fragmented as I took a lot of reading gaps. It's a solid memoir - it gave me a glimpse into the author's own experiences and how she came into herself. I took down many quotes because there were many good points. I should reread it sometime to connect to it better.
