Rituals by Kelley Armstrong

2.0

This series started on a pretty high note and then just stair-stepped down with each of the five books. The writing is fair and she does a good job with her character development but the endless visions and the silly amount of abandoned buildings that they mysteriously get trapped in and the destiny love triangle... it borders on teenage obsession with scenes that say stuff like...this kiss was what my life was missing, they're in their 20s and 30s. And don't forget the obscene amount of Welsh/Gaelic/Greek characters, terms and just myths in general. It made no sense and maybe it wasn't supposed to but after five fairly long books I was looking for some sort of closure to a long and complicated story and ended up with very little.

That was a disappointing way to start off my reading year.
