Perfect Imperfections by Cardeno C.

This just did not work for me. Even going into it expecting to handwave some of the plot, it was honestly too much for me to get into it.

The plot was completely unbelievable, particularly the strange reactions to a mega-famous rock star coming out in a relationship with a man. The amount of bi-erasure language used was quite upsetting, to be honest. I also found the characters to be a bit one-note and flat, and I couldn't make myself care about them. No chemistry, and I did find the way sex came about to be a little uncomfortable. It felt a bit creepy, the way Reg was leading Jeremy into his ~sexual revelation~ and quite forced. And then, once they do get together, the development of deep feelings was SUPER quick and there was zero internal conflict on Jeremy's part, which didn't feel realistic nor natural. Don't even get me started on the random ass proposal which, again, felt SO forced. The whole book did. Nothing felt like it developed organically from the characters, it was just the author trying to hit all these random plot points that made no sense.
