Very enjoyable story, characters and worldbuilding. My one quibble is something that's perhaps inevitable in a YA novel - teenage characters with the skills and emotional maturity of 40 year olds. I get the argument (which the author makes in the interview included in the book) that adolescence is a recent cultural invention and that for most of history teenagers were considered adults - but I don't think that means they were this mentally and emotionally mature. The brain not being completely developed until the late 20s is a real thing.

Still, I'd recommend the book to anyone who enjoys heist stories or low-magic, early industrial fantasy settings. And I'm likely to read the sequel.
