Im thinking of ending things felt like the liminal space equivalent of a book. Set in a dark cold night driving down isolated farm lands in a car. An abandoned school. A dairy queen near its closing time. An unerving meeting with the parents. The way everything is written in this cold, detached manner, the loosely fitted and just slightly inhuman sounding dialogue just made for such an eerie atmosphere.
I think something about the ending just didnt quite land though. But i do like the concept and of course the double meaning of the title
