This was very engaging!! I lowkey love a "mixed medium" thriller novel, which I know is not everyone's cup of tea. In this case, interspersed throughout the two POVs, there are descriptions and transcripts of a Netflix show that is based on the podcast that is following the events that the characters are currently going through. Amps up the tension

I like an unreliable narrator, and it's done here in such a way where I'm genuinely ?? what can I believe. I've decided for myself what the truth is, but it is left very up in the air, depending on which characters you choose to believe

I enjoyed the book, but I have some fundamental problems with the central perspective of the story, especially in the latter half. This falls into very misogynistic tropes, and in many ways the deep need to 'shock' the audience or subvert obvious expectations, all we got was more overdone narratives, but just more misogynistic

I have no interest or sympathy for stories that want to place blame on children for the way they were groomed, manipulated, and assaulted by grown ass men
