I picked up this book again mostly for nostalgia (I never finished the series the first time I read this and it made me sooo mad) so I wasn't expecting anything amazing, but omg I LOVE this book !!!!! I think the plot is really well paced and the world building for me is pretty good (there's a lot going on but it's not hard to understand) I also just love the characters so much :(
the only issue I have with this book is that some of the language feels like it's just built on puns (words like wrasses instead of asses and merls instead of girls). It can feel a bit cringe to read but doesn't happen too often so I can get past it :)
