Nona is a character who couldn't be more different from Gideon and Harrow because of her innocence and exuberance. She lives with Camilla, Palamedes, and Pyrrha and is childlike because despite being in an adult body, she has no memories prior to 6 months ago when she began living with them, and that trio is trying to figure out who she really is. They have forged a makeshift family with strong bonds, and I loved all of the characters in this family.

Muir's signature style of gradually unveiling the story's secrets while leaving room for reader speculation remains strong in "Nona the Ninth." A lot of questions get answered, but many more remain.
