Saga, Book Two

SHE DIED AS LIVED: HIGH AS FUCK
While not as quotable as its preceding chapters, Saga continues to live up to its name. With a larger timescale, various characters are able to grow and evolve-- none moreso than the adults, especially Alana and Marko. Their struggles with potential infidelity, growing apart, career disputes, and domestic violence (this makes them sound like a way worse couple than they are-- they are messy people, but their relationship is still an earnest and very positive one, even if it doesn't run smoothly) are all things that could be found on places besides a galaxy far, far away, but the stakes are heightened by the fantasy sprawl of their worlds. In fact, everyone, including Yana (FUCK I LOVE YANA) is at the top of their game as the series proceeds... admittedly I don't really like ANY of the robot head characters, especially Dengo, who I found to be misguided to the point of nigh incomprehensibility, and that whole side plot was long... but everyone else is fucking BEASTLY. This series knows how to alot time to sideplots, which is great, because there are so many. Going on. All the time.
Hasn't anyone ever told you guys not to split the party?
Anyways, Petrichor kicks ass. We know this, we love her.
Farewell.
