A Stanger in Town

When a seriously injured woman is discovered in the woods outside Rockton, Sheriff Eric Dalton and Detective Casey Duncan suspect an attack by the hostiles. The investigation soon raises more questions than answers as well as fears that the council will take advantage of the situation to shut the town down. Will Eric and Casey be able to save Rockton from more than one threat?

Series note: The events in this book rely heavily on ongoing character and plot development. Thus, it is recommended that the series be read in order.

The longer the series continues, the stronger its resemblance to the TV Lost as more characters appear on the scene of the supposedly secret town in the Yukon wilderness. Nevertheless, the basic premise and ongoing story arc is appealing and keeps me coming back for more.

The plot in this installment is comprised of several different threads that ultimately come together with an action-packed and exciting climax and resolution. That said, it does become bogged down with details in the middle.

The hints at changes in the air for the residents of Rockton are very intriguing and I look forward to seeing how the series regulars will handle the town's precarious future.
