This book got me through a bad reading slump, which I feel necessitates a relatively high review. It’s a  fun, not-very-deep, fantasy barbarian romp. There’s a kind of cheesy take on love and magic that I was 100% ready to buy into while I read it at like 2AM. Knocking off a star because the slow-burn payoff was a little bit of a let down (sex scenes could have been better :/).
