Wow. The ending of this book has left me shaken. Of all the books so far, this one has stuck with me the most. Every story line, dramatic moment, and action scene completely enthralled me. I could not stop reading. By the end, my jaw was all but on the floor.
This story was so powerful, driven by characters clashing with one another while trying to fight for each other. The enemies, both old and new, were ferocious. There were sacrifices and heartache and a fierce final battle that ended with more than a few shocking moments.
Each of the characters were wonderful. Kali and Deven continued to forge their own paths and butt heads over love and duty. I liked their chemistry, as well as Ashwin and what he faced in regards to his emotions and purpose.
All of the magic and lore were expanded on in this book, leading to a truly epic and supernatural ending. It didn't go the way I expected it to, and I'm very excited to see what other shocking and intense moments the finale has in store!
