I started this book for Mother’s Day and I was definitely surprised with where the story went. I think the fatal flaw with this is to consider Nadia a mother. Which I what I think the author was trying to get us to see. So much of her storyline was determined by judgment towards the abortion. It seems that the abortion was SO positive to her life and yet the tone is very shameful and even personifies the haunting of a potential child which is such a trope. That being said I really loved the nuances in the dynamic between Nadia and her dad as well as Aubrey. I’m so sick of Luke. Happy to not read about him anymore.
