A Taste for Love by Jennifer Yen is a solid YA contemporary romance and classic literature retelling. Since I knew going in that this was a Pride and Prejudice retelling, I knew James was going to be the Darcy character, but this took too long to pick up for me. The contest starts maybe halfway into the story and it takes awhile to get going even if it does a decent job of introducing us to Eliza. Honestly, I wasn't particularly interested in getting to know James - Eliza was pretty much the only character I really cared for. I did like all the talk of baking though - it definitely succeeded in making me hungry.
