I thought that this book became really interesting in the second half of the book. I thought that it was really slow in the first 80 pages but then the paced picked up a lot giving the book a bit of odd pacing. But I did like the world that was being created and the direction of the plot. But I do feel that I should note that it used the words "special ed" in a way that made me a bit uncomfortable.
