Mmm, this book just wasnt it. It was very much a filler book that could have been condensed so much, keeping the story and loosing some of the more inappropriate stuff. I am fairly leniant about language in books especially older books about teenagers as I was in school during this time period and I can attest to the fact we used offensive language, half the time just offhand and not in an offensive way, we simply didnt realise how hurtfull some of these terms can be, so when reading these books, though the language at times makes me wince I cant really condemn it as it was accurate to teen culture as ai knew it. That being said this series is beginning to strain even my leniency, there is a sentence in this book that the sentence with the slur in it made absolutely no sense yet if that word had been removed it would have been perfectly logical, it was just enterely pointless. I did also notice a couple of points in this book where the proof reading clearly failed, perhaps they struggled to get theough this book too. The whole thing with Loren made me uncomfortable but I think its supposed to as literally everything about it is wierd, gross, creepy, illegal... even as a teen it was the one relationship I hated. I always loved Heath, thought he was so sweet, it was only when reading this book now I realised how manipulative he was. I felt sorry for ||Eric, he deserved so much better, I dont like the way they make him seem unreasonable for being jealous, or make it seem wrong that he stands him up on a date without even letting him know "he likes things to go his way" err, no, he just expects some human decency. Overall this bookhjust felt wrong and lacked the interesting storylines that lifted the other books up a couple of stars.
