Judgment Road by Christine Feehan

***Re-read 5/18/23***
This was still just ok for me. I definitely need to read the prior series because there is stuff in play that clearly has to have been explained in that series because it doesn't explain it much in this one.

This book was ok for me. The beginning was so rough for me I almost DNF. This is my first book by the author so I'm not sure if this is her normal writing style or not, but the repetition of thoughts was just way over the top. It picked up a little and got better as it went along. There seems to be some paranormal stuff going on but she doesn't really explain it. It seems to go a lot further than just their training in Russia. Maybe this will be explained in another book?? Or from what I'm seeing maybe this is explained in another series?? I really wish authors would advise readers if characters are also in other series instead of saying everything is standalone or that it's just simply a new series.
