Utterly heart wrenching, disturbing, and real.
I feel like I must sit with myself and ruminate on how deeply this duology has affected me. I originally took two months to decide whether or not to dive into these books. I’m not the same person I was before I started book one. And this conclusion shattered me.
I live in Oregon. We hear of women and children going missing every day. It was even more realistic and harrowing for me to picture those women trapped deep within our forests. Locked away while we carry on with our lives. I’m shaken to my core, but deeply devoted to Addie and Zade Meadows.
I might need a psychologist after this to walk me through my attraction to Zade and his behavior, but I know I’m not the only one in the boat. Let’s go girls 🔪
