We Are Each Other's Harvest: Celebrating African American Farmers, Land, and Legacy by Natalie Baszile

4.0

This is a collection of stories and interviews about Black farmers. It shows both the successes and trials of current farmers and the racist obstacles that have kept Black people from owning land and farming in the past. I saw someone comment recently that, while sure understood the white privilege before the Depression, after that tragedy everyone was on equal ground. This repeated evidence of the USDA working to take land out of the hands of Black farmers should be enough to convince someone.
