Song: You Put a Spell on Me -Austin Giorgio
Oh my fucking god.
What the fuck did I read?
And why did I enjoy it?
Okay, so I think we all know that this is a dark and twisted book with many, many, many trigger warnings. Did we get that? Cool
Now, I gave it 5 stars because I enjoyed it emersly. Do you know the phase of catastrophe tourism? When you slow down so you can see what happened in a car crash, or watch a movie that you know is gonna be awful but that is why it's so fun. That's this book to me.
The writing wasn't the best, and it was kinda sloppy in some places, and the story had some faults too, but it was too interesting and shocking for those things to affect my rating.
I am not writing spoilers, but I will you the smut..the smut is heavenly. Be aware there is non-con, but it's wrapped up in a way where it is forced, but by the end (or more like the middle) we actually enjoy it. It's like BDSM just without the safe word, which is kind of offputting, but the inner monologue helps a lot.
And I swear, the scene that I had my jaw on the floor, that I was the most shocked about... was the fucking <spoilers> gun scene. Maybe I haven't read enough dark romances but when I realised that he will fuck her with his gun... </spoilers> my jaw was on the floor.
I am really interested in the next instalment.
I am also scared, what kind of person I am for loving this book this much?
Well..we will e after I traumatise myself with the second book.
xoxo
