The Scottish Boy by Alex de Campi
4.0
4 stars
Wildly romantic with likely only a modicum of historical accuracy, this book is full of adventure, palace intrigue, friendship and joy. It reminded me a bit of the Captive Prince series and if you pretend that this takes place in a somewhat alternate universe, it might make the less historically accurate parts easier to swallow. Personally, I didn’t care. It was a fun romp that I thoroughly enjoyed.
