The Good Neighbor: The Life and Work of Fred Rogers
by Maxwell King
hopeful

relaxing
slow-paced
This truly is a wonderful ode to the legacy of Fred Rogers. There's a certain softness in the writing that reflects the gentle nature of its subject and it was so lovely reading a biography with so much positivity and very little controversy. While I didn't love the non-linear story-telling where chapters opted to focus on themes in Rogers' life rather than the direct order of events, I still enjoyed it as a quiet escape and reminder that kindness and empathy can be a strength in life.
Crazy how being financially secure (hella rich) can allow the freedom to explore passions for the sake of passion and promote kindness in an unkind world though! If only other people had the same opportunities and financial security that Fred Rogers did with his family wealth.
