 This was a cute book that also brought in some seriousness with the emotional baggage. I am wondering, though, why the author kind of started making everything semi-religious 70% into the book? I'm not a religious person, but I don't avoid it or mind reading about it. It was just kind of weird because the author never brought up God or religion and then here we are, past the climax, and we're hit with a load of it. I mean yes, one of the side characters is a priest, but that's the most religious thing that was mentioned until this big religious epiphany. It's just disconcerting (?) to not have any of the MC's be very involved in religion and then suddenly it's a big part of one of their lives? Maybe it's just me. And I guess that's what I get for ignoring the "Inspirational" sticker my library put on the spine.

 My only other gripe is with Janet's story ending. I'm glad she

apologized to Seth. Like yes girl, put on your big girl panties! But the fact that that's when she finally gets to see her grandkid kind of icks me out. Like yes, she did an awful thing, but I don't think it was awful enough to warrant how extreme her kids were acting. Maybe that's also just me. Am I too forgiving? Probably.

Bottom line: cute Hallmark read with some emotional baggage and a come to Jesus moment lmfao
