Anomaly Flats
by Clayton Smith
”This is the devil’s playpen.”
(about Walmart)
Anomaly Flats is a wonderful book that feels like if Welcome to Night Vale, Twilight Zone, and Gravity Falls all kissed, fell in love, and had one whacky baby.
This book is new weird in the best way possible. It hits the nail on the head for me, personally, in what I want to see in my speculative scifi horror comedies about smalltown America.
It’s beautifully written, genuinely subversive, with fascinating characters, and it’s funny as all hell.
Would recommend with all my heart to anyone who’s a fan of the aforementioned media, or just anyone who likes a good time.
