Our Chemical Hearts
by Krystal Sutherland
This is one of those desperately sad books that leaves you needing a hug and a steaming mug of tea. Or cocoa. Or whatever.
It takes a long time to actually like this book. Our narrator, Henry, does a lot of things in the first half that make him really not likeable, including stalking and comparing himself at least twice to Edward Cullen. He also tries too hard. He develops this obsessive love for Grace and spends the whole book trying to convince her that she loves him too, and when he finds out why she's so "broken" he just wants to fix her so he can be happy.
I found I warmed up to Henry and in fact the whole story near the end.
