This book reads like poetry beautiful writing…it cover’s Hawaii and its rich tragic history of colonialism…a Hawaiian genius musician and his Korean Hawaiian soul mate who are caught up in the war and separated…disturbing history of the comfort girls sex slaves for the Japanese army  I don’t believe in trigger warnings but this book will haunt you…it’s a part of history that is seldom addressed because it is so horrific.
