Some journalists are just such good writers and such indefatigable researchers that they can write compelling material about just about anything. Bruce Barcott seems to be one such. That he also has riveting material in the state of conservation in Belize just made this book all the more riveting. This was such an entrancing book, I learned a lot, and it made me think of a lot more things I want to learn. Pretty much exceeds all expectations I have for a nonfiction book.
