Super meta book. In this book we have Wilder, Nat and Harper, three friends in the same summer village. Turns out that Nat’s dad is a serial killer and that Nat had been terrorising the community breaking into houses and taking photos with sleeping children holding a knife. We then have books within books, where Wilder has his memoir stolen and college and published by someone else. This person then dies a lot later so Wildet returns to the town to finally write his own story. Turns out though that he’s just a character in someone else’s book and that he actually died when he was still in college. All very story within a story, on many levels
