I loved this reimaging and fuller exploration of a woman from Hindu mythology, reminiscent of Circe -- there are so many stories, ancient and modern, in which women are just minor characters that do something "bad" out of a petty emotion to trigger a heroic opportunity for the male MC; I love the corrective that books like Kaikeyi and Circe give, with fully realized characterizations of the female MCs that center their own stories.
