One For My Enemy šŸ—”ļø Review

ā€˜Iā€™m keeping you from death, not letting you live. Thereā€™s a differenceā€™ - Olivie Blake šŸ’€

āļøāļø 2 Stars

I am aware this is another case of itā€™s not you, itā€™s me. Everyone seems to LOVE this book but I think Iā€™ve come to the realisation that I donā€™t get on with Olivieā€™s writing style. āœšŸ»

I so badly want to love Olivieā€™s beautifully lyrical writing but it just seems to slow the whole pace down too much for me. I also feel like she has so many good ideas, that none of them are seen through. Characters arenā€™t as fleshed out as Iā€™d like so I just didnā€™t care about them. šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø

I did also DNF The Atlas Paradox, so if you enjoyed that and youā€™re after a Romeo and Juliet retelling, this is well reviewed on goodreadsā€¦maybe itā€™s for you? šŸ„°
