Our Missing Hearts by Celeste Ng
5.0
This novel is a pretty big leap from Celeste Ng’s prior work. The dystopia obviously sets it apart but also there is no huge secret or intricately overlapping storylines. It is pretty linear and straight forward. Even so, the writing is still phenomenal like we have come to expect from Ng. I felt transported and immersed in this near future world. It was also very challenging with regard to how to respond to injustice when it doesn’t touch you. It hurt in all the best ways and will stick with me.
