I was really skeptical to read this book since I very much disliked the 3rd (and honestly the 2nd) book and espeially since this is the romance of the man who has been the butt of the joke for the last 3 novels. But wow, it really turned itself around. This has been my favorite book in the series. I like the slow burn. I like how gentle and kind both main characters are, but still very stubborn while trying to be selfless. I also loved the side characters in this book when I hated the side characters in the 3rd. They push Elena and don't take her shit. I will say it took a while for them to come around, but the character arc was well done. Overall I enjoyed this book.
