I’ll say it again: I just think Darrow is a little stupid!
I get that he is like a figurehead for both the golds and the sons and not meant to think for himself necessarily, but it just got so old.
This book felt like it had a lot of info dumps and politics that span the freaking solar system and it got boring. I straight up couldn’t tell you who belongs to what house other than Cassius is the bad guy but I guess now he’s working with the other bad guy (the jackal) but they accomplished what Darrow was supposed to do eventually?
I don’t even know if that’s right and that just goes to show how convoluted I thought parts of this were. Idk if MORE info dumps would have been the answer (they would have made the book even more boring) but at the same time I realize the hypocrisy of being confused and hating all the info dumps lol
I’ll read the third eventually just for Mustang. But I won’t read the second part of this series. Idk if pierce brown’s writing is for me.
