My Heart in Braille
by Joris Chamblain, Anne-Lise Nalin
“You let me borrow your dream, I’ll never forget it”
Thank you Europe Comics and NetGalley for the arc!
My Heart in Braille follows two teenagers who help each other navigate their struggles. Victor struggles to stay out of trouble at school and wishes he could learn things the way everyone else can. Marie is dealing with the knowledge that her degenerative eye condition will take her sight much sooner than she anticipated.
This is a really sweet story told through absolutely gorgeous illustrations.
I did feel that many of the characters were brought in just to be mean and didn’t really add much to the plot, and I feel like some of the gaps in time felt a bit too jarring and that I was missing some of the narrative.
Overall it was a cute read. Thank you again for the arc!
