The Winter Witch by Paula Brackston

2.0

This was my first read by this author and while it was an interesting enough narrative, I won't be going back to read others by her. The pacing was seriously off on this one. It did not live up to its cover jacket hype. While I loved the character of Morgana the author spent more time taking her on a road trip with her husband's cattle than she spent on developing her powers which were "suddenly just there" when she needed them at a critical moment. It was just a bit too contrived for me at the conclusion. I got the book on discount at my favorite Indy bookstore is about the best I can say about it.
