More like a 3.7 but only because there was SO much going on. There are so many twists and turns that I couldn’t really participate in the mystery (if that makes sense), I felt like I was just along for the ride. This could be a positive or a negative. However, THE IMAGERY WAS FANTASTIC. Like almost too good, to the point where I nearly lost my appetite mid meal a few times. In all, I enjoyed the story! My biggest complaint is that I wish we had more time to connect with Darlington, I want to be more attached to him but he feels so elusive the whole book!!
