Beautiful World, Where Are You by Sally Rooney

3.0

raises some cool points, but after normal people i realized that i simply dislike rooney’s protagonists. she writes these hierarchies where the “main guys” are intelligent but emotionally immature and depressed people, and the truly interesting people, the ones who know about life and the world within the confines of their own existence, are put aside. or called “freaks” for believing in god.
yeah, this all felt very surface level and bland but i liked it better than normal people so… yay?
