The Witch's Pet by Kerri D. Andrews
3.5
I really enjoyed the beginning and flew through the first half of the book. It was so fun, I enjoyed their dynamic and bickering, and I was hooked. However, the second half is where things took a slightly annoying turn.
Miscommunication is a constant feature in this book and while I detest it, it wasn’t too bad in the beginning. At some point, our main characters seem to reach a turning point in this regard but communication continues to be an issue. It just feels frustrating at the end. It’s not entirely unfounded but I do wish it had been handled differently.
I personally did not mind thatmost of the book takes places in the setting of the chambers. I think the fact that the main characters spend so much time together is so good !
Overall, I did really enjoy it. It’s only the last two thirds-ish of the book that have me torn. I am definitely going to continue this series though
