Christopher Denise’s author-illustrator debut is a home run!  Knight Owl is a funny and heartwarming story about a little owl whose greatest dream is to become a knight.  The text to picture balance is just right, and the illustrations draw the reader in with gorgeous dappled light and clever foreshadowing details.  It's the perfect bedtime story of an unlikely hero!
