Two people on the opposite sides of the Kline, the biotech company takeover; ends up slowly falling for each other, amidst the complications that rise ♥️

Pick it up if you want to read a steamy & cute romance with lots of drama with a revenge story line.

If Ali Hazelwood writes something even with the slightest mention of a science-y background, I will go in blindly. I have not yet found an author who can write books with STEM references this good.

This might not seem to be her typical romance storyline, where the sex comes after the characters fall in love. But this was definitely another beautifully written one that made me laugh, scream in happenings & root for the MCs to get together (≧▽≦)

Rue Siebert is someone who has taken motivation from her childhood sufferings & trying to make something out of the same using her knowledge. Her social circle is very limited with the two friends she immensely trusts & her life doesn't have space for love.

Eli Killgore is determined to take the reins of the company, for personal reasons. He is protective of everything he loves & he knows what he wants & he knows how to get them. Except when it comes to Rue he is literally struck & his brain stops functioning, which was totally adorable 💜

Rue & Eli's relationship might have started with lust but it definitely didn't feel that way while I was reading. It just felt that they had both been in love from the start but were not ready to sabotage their personal relationship with others, so they just found a way they could be together.

But the way Eli knew, OMG he absolutely has my heart. He was so perfect in expressing his love for Rue.

The writing was so beautiful, the one reason why all the sex didn't actually feel as lust was because the lines were written in a way to feel the love between them.

I loved all the other characters; Hark, Minami, Maya, Sul & Tisha.

Though Minami's character was one I liked the most with her fun banters & the way she handled the other situation.

I really loved this book as a whole.

And are we going to get some kind of age gap romance book with Hark & Maya?
