Mistshore by Jaleigh Johnson

Did not finish book. Stopped at 29%.
Honestly, it was quite dull. I don’t love DNFing a Jaleigh Johnson book, but after three hours I wasn’t invested in the characters, the plot was vague and unclear, and I wasn’t entranced with the setting. That third point very well could be personal bias, but it still contributed to my putting the book down. I also found it slightly weird that the villain was disabled and his two cronies were (supposedly) queer women… Two harmful literary stereotypes that just aren’t great. Pool all those things together and you have a recipe for a DNF. Since this is one of Johnson’s earlier works, I won’t hold it against her. I’ll still check out The Howling Delve and Spider and Stone.
