The Personal MBA: Master the Art of Business by Josh Kaufman

5.0

For a very long time, I have been longing to enroll in an MBA course. The exorbitant fees that most B-schools charge and my work did not help.

I was looking for a primer as to what happens in these B-schools, how do business grads think differently from normal folks? Is it something really valuable or is it all hype?

So when I chanced upon this book as a GR recommendation I jumped on it and started reading immediately.

Truth be told, I treated this book as a textbook. And I am happy that I did so.

This is a great book for anyone who wants to get a primer on an MBA course. In fact, it also gives a preview of the real-world business world and how it works. The various revenue models, how to evaluate a market, how markets function, revenue maximization, and the works.

What surprises me is that Josh has presented such complex and sophisticated topics in a simple manner that anybody can understand.

For someone who could get intimidated about an MBA course, this is a pacifier. It forms a panoramic view of the business world and gives you the confidence that anything about it can be learned.

Definitely, one reading is not enough. This book needs to be referred to from time to time.

This is a textbook for all everyone who is running a business, wants to run a business or even simply wants to elevate their game in life.
