One Hell of a Ride by Seanan McGuire

4.0

I am slowly (so slowly) but surely making my way through the massive backlog of Seanan McGuire's short story collection. I won't say I'm catching up – it feels like she's writing them faster than I'm reading them. Gonna have to pick up the pace!

Moving on, One Hell of a Ride follows the one and only Jonathan Healy – yes, we're diving back into the deep lore of the InCryptid world! This is the story of a time when Jonathan and Fran found themselves trapped on a train, which sounds bad enough without throwing in dangerous and deadly cryptids.

One Hell of a Ride is a perfect read if you're looking for a fun and quick romp through the InCryptid universe. It's full of action and character. Obviously, it assumes you know enough about the world to just dive right in. So it's probably not the best starting place for people new to the series.
