What a roller coaster! Truly felt like I went through the wringer with this one. That being said, I don’t think this book needed to be almost 800 pages long 😅 the plot didn’t really start to pick up until the 2nd half of the book.

I still definitely prefer the 2nd and 3rd books so far in the series, but this was was still intriguing. It was hard to read at some times as Nesta is definitely a complex character, and at some points you just want to be like “girl what are you doing!”, I also prefer 1st person POV over 3rd person, but I suppose it makes sense for this one to be 3rd person since it features 2 characters stories.

And for being the most smutty book in the series, I thought the smut was a little lack luster. I might just be a Rhysand girlie though 🦇 😉 as they say in this book, like recognizes like, my fellow Scorpio secret holder 🫶🏻

Also, from all memes I see about this book, I thought the beef between certain characters was going to be much worse than it was (that being said the conflicts are bad, but by the end you are feeling better about it). Overall it was a good read and even though Nesta  was frustrating at times (although they all have their moments), by the end of the book it was great to see her journey. Onto the spymaster & more court drama next pls!
