Makes me want to go back and read the Bel Dame trilogy all over again.
This world that Kameron Hurley has created is so rich and fascinating, feels so familiar and yet so foreign, populated with people you wouldn't want to meet in a dark alley - but would love to be included in their "family" circle.
And then there's the bugs......
And the magicians......
And the shapeshifters...
And still it all seems so natural, because it is treated as such. No hint that any of it is supernatural. Love it.
