A Lie for a Lie
by Helena Hunting
Only Hunting can write a with a book that draws you in from the beginning with the chance meeting on a plane that everyone has dreamed of. Rook and Lainey in Alaska has the comedy of adjusting to living in the wildlife, along with falling in love. The lies between them come forth in Chicago where they meet again. Rook does a serious press to get back in Lainey good graces. Lots of laugh out loud moments followed by ahhhhhs.
Hunting's characters are multi-layered with a sense of realism with a daily life that makes them so relate able. I loved seeing people from the Puck series in this book, it brought back all the good feelings. A lie for a Lie is a great start to a new series that I can't wait to read more.
