The Hero Next Door by Olugbemisola Rhuday-Perkovich

4.0

I am typically not a fan of anthologies, but I really enjoyed this collection of powerful stories. Not all of them have happy endings, but life is just like that sometimes. These were all really engaging stories that almost felt mythological, and honestly I had too many favorites. There was only one story I really didn't like-- I just really don't like Oh's writing-- way way way too much exposition with no explanation. But the one about the boy given wishes by an immortal wolf-shifter was pretty dope.
