I just love this series so far. It feels so beautifully reminiscent of Nancy Drew, Agatha Christie, and the Hardy Boys I grew up reading.

The only thing that made this book not a dull 5 stars for me is probably due to it being a middle book in a series. I wish more had developed and directly happened between Raf / Alice and Spike / Iris. I also wish we could have learned at least a little more about the Remy case? It’s mentioned like twice in passing so we’ve got to get to it eventually, but we didn’t get any new information about it from this book, which seems kind of weird to me? ALSO Iris and Alice never actually talk it all out about Cole and Spike and Raf, or even just about their own friendship and why they’re having issues. So yeah, didn’t love all that lack, but likely that because it’s just the middle book of a series, as I said before.

The actual murder mystery if this book though? Fantastic.
