This book is a wild ride and the best example of science fantasy I've read in a while.  I love how Drayden interweaves the characters through magical and mechanical means and no opportunity is wasted when a truly original idea appears, no matter how far out there it is.  Surrendering to this book is part of what makes it so fun.  You cannot imagine the pathways each character takes because they are inventive and lovingly made core to the worldbuilding. The Prey of Gods is a wonderfully immersive experience and I look forward to reading more from Nicky Drayden.
