Before I Let Go by Kennedy Ryan

Gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous. I was apprehensive about this book because it’s about a divorced couple with kids finding their way back to each other. They’re also grieving family deaths. I worried it would be too much of a downer when I’m in a phase of reading a lot of fluffy books.
But this totally swept me off my feet. Josiah and Yasmen’s chemistry was sizzling and their journey was beautiful to read. The dialogue was realistic, the scenes in therapy had me highlighting large swaths of text, and by about 40% through I was eagerly stealing away pockets of time to get some pages in. There is spice but it’s way more focused on the plot and the relationship. I loved reading the scenes with their kids too.
Gave a little happy sigh when finishing this one :)
